Every year around Christmas time the Heat–Pole of the architecture students, Linz, invites to have a break in the rush and to warm up with a hot drink. The earnings are used for supporting the students in their participation on excursions or building projects in developing countries. The orange glooming wall that juts out from the arcades of the university into the city’s central square emphasises the interaction between city and university. By emerging dusk the luminance of the wall gains allurement and invites to hold on for a while.
